Daily Reminders & A Tune

Loving this song..........

------- Some quotes you've may or may not heard but may enlighten your day.... -------

Imagine that the universe is a great spinning engine. You want to stay near the core of the thing - right in the hub of the wheel - not out at the edges where all the wild whirling takes place, where you get frayed and crazy. The hub of calmness - thats your heart. That's where God lives within you. So stop looking for answers in the world. Just keep coming back to the center and you'll always find peace. / EG

--

All I ask of you is this: Please don't be cynical. I hate cynicism - it's my least favorite quality and it doesn't lead anywhere. Nobody in life gets exactly what they thought they were going to get. But if you work really hard and you're kind, amazing things will happen. / conan

We don't see things as they are, we see them as we are. / piet hen

--

You are what you love, not what loves you back. / jenny lewis

--

I do believe when we face challenges in life that are far beyond our own power, it's an opportunity to build on our faith, inner strength, and courage. I've learned that how we face challenges plays a big role in the outcome of them. / sasha azevedo

--

The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, the education, the money, than circumstances, than failure, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company... a church... a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice everyday regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past... we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude. I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% of how I react to it. And so it is with you... we are in charge of our Attitudes. / Charles R Swindoll

Stress and the need for perfection is a distraction from the beauty, uncertainty, and finality of every moment.

--
Practice gratitude, even in the midst of despair and it will open your eyes to the positive possibilities all around you.
--
Sometimes we do forget to behave and we regret what we say, cause words are too weapons, if we don't choose'em carefully.
--
Love is giving someone the power to break your heart... but trusting them that they wont
--
Listen to your voice. The one that tells you to taste past the tip of your tongue ...
--
I stress freshness because it implies seeing with new eyes, tasting with beginner's buds, & loving like you've never hurt.
--
Surrender to life itself and you'll just be rewarded with so many things. And I've been rewarded so many times, in so many mysterious ways.
--
It takes no time to fall in love, but it takes you years to know what love is.

Men's Style Standout & Crazy Stupid Love

I am loving mens fashion these days... guys dressing like guys. swoon.

The guy with the greatest style...( in my opinion) .... You guessed it, Mr. Gosling.

I know what you are thinking... "Haley, this is a shrine to Ryan Gosling because you think he is beautiful (half true)." But in all honesty, I just really appreciate his style. I think he isn't afraid to be a little different, and while doing that he still dresses like a guy should. Simple, Classic & Manly. You know, a boy next door with a KICK. ;)

Also: I've watched this trailer for the new movie, "Crazy Stupid Love" - Steve Carrell, Ryan Gosling, Emma Stone, Marissa Tomei, Julianne Moore.... nearly 10 times on my apple tv. I cannot wait. July 29th!!!

You want to see this... I'm telling you.

Weddings, Friends, Sports, Music & Catching Up.

Howdy! Sorry, I have been a boring blogger these days. Lots going on 'round here. I just got back from Ambler, PA for some college friends wedding. Has anyone every been to Ambler? Well... you should go. It's a dreamy little place. I wouldn't complain if I had to live there. It's gorgeous... reminds me of a mix between Breckenridge, Colorado and Savannah, Georgia... weird... two of my most favorite places on Earth! :) Good work, Traubs... you picked a good spot.

They had a most beautiful wedding weekend. Lauren was SO INCREDIBLY STUNNING and Ryan became one of my most favorite people... and he made me cry the entire ceremony. UGH! Thanks dude! I had the best time. They have such wonderful family and friends - it was so refreshing to be surrounded by so much genuine love. I got to reunite with my best friends from college and there is just nothing like that. It just goes to show that no matter where you went to college... it's usually not the city that gives you that nostalgic feeling... it's being with those people who you were there with and became a family with -- I felt like I was back in Savannah this weekend and it's exactly what I needed. I love my dear friends and I am so beyond blessed to have them in my life. I also made some pretty great new friends that weekend.... another good point I will make is... you know you have been given some pretty great people in your life when you get along greatly and stay friends with their family and friends from home. Love it. Anyways, here are some scenes from the weekend. Thanks, friends. :)

FOURTH OF JULY WEEKEND is HERE!!

Happy Friday, Ya'll!! & happy fourth of july weekend!

So, who is excited for a festive holiday weekend? Uhhh... ME! I will say... I'm going to miss going to my uncle UM's house for an evening of family fun and a fireworks show... UM does it right and we always have had the best time. This summer has brought change... we have a new family member and sometimes just a low key weekend either fishing {uncle &brother} or lounging without much effort sounds just as dandy. That's what I'm doing this time around.... and although I will miss my family dearly.... I think a nice and relaxing LONG weekend without travel is in my nearest future. This is what I have planned....

That sounds relaxing right? Ha ha....

When I was a little lady we used to wake up and go to the parade, then decorate our bikes and go on the neighborhood bike parade with all the other little kids, then go to the neighborhood pool for ice cream sundaes and pool games and then go over to our neighbor's house and make these flag shirts and then have a street feast. To end the night our parents packed up the vans and we all headed over to Kickingbird Golf Course to lay on {run around everywhere} the green and watch the fireworks on blankets. MAN! Those were the good ole days.... :)

I hope you all have a very safe and happy holiday weekend. Don't forget to have a moment of silence for all those brave armed forces that have given their lives for our freedom. God Bless them & keep them safe... :)
